Eikoh TANAKA
Born in Kyoto, Japan. Received an MFA from Kyoto City University of Arts in 2007.
Since 2002, Tanaka has been active as an artist under the name Antenna, exhibiting works in more than 60 museums, galleries, and art festivals across 45 cities in 12 countries worldwide.
In 2017, he was selected for the TOKAS bilateral exchange residency program in Basel, Switzerland. In 2019, he founded Qe to Hare Inc., developing original business projects from an artist’s perspective. He currently operates a hotel and café in Kameoka City, Kyoto Prefecture, while also engaging in various regional revitalization initiatives.
Major exhibitions include Power, Where Does the Beauty Lie (SOMA Museum of Art, Korea), Roppongi Art Night (Tokyo Midtown), and VIDEONALE 11 (Kunstmuseum Bonn, Germany).
Recent projects include program design for Kyoto University IMS, planning and management of CyberAgent’s Awakening Art Program, and production of Toyo Ito’s installation for the Venice Architecture Biennale.
He is the author of L.L.A. BOOK – 10 Lessons for Acquiring Art Thinking.
Currently enrolled in the doctoral program (Sculpture) at Tokyo University of the Arts.
