In this video, filmed at Shimogamo Shrine, a woman draw water and send it back to river repeatedly. It seems to be a repetition of same scene at glance, though it is composed of several different videos filming same action again and again. It represents several parallel worlds which have micro differences each. The title is quoted from the opening sentence of “Hojoki”. Written by Kamo no Chomei, the work depicts the Buddhist concept of impermanence (mujo) through the description of various disasters. The idea of this work was occured from the concept of “mujo” and the cosmic view, and developed by the principle of “Quantum Superposition” and “Multiverse Hypothesis”.
